Be Vigilant: While walking around the large towns and cities of Tanzania we suggest you to be careful. Stay away from unknown streets.
Don’t walk alone or travel solo at night: At all costs avoid walking around after dark, particularly if you’re on your own.
Keep windows closed and doors locked: After leaving your vehicle outside, keep windows and doors closed and locked to avoid car jackings and smash & grabs that are common in certain areas in Dar es Salaam.
Don’t do drugs in Tanzania: It is illegal and offenders will be fined heavily and face potential jail time for possession, use and trafficking of drugs in Tanzania.
Be careful what you photograph in Tanzania: It is prohibited to take photographs of military, government buildings and border crossing points in Tanzania so refrain from doing it.
