1. Tag 1Tarangire National Park

   About three hours from Moshi you enter Tarangire, the park of giants: huge herds of elephants and ancient baobab trees along the Tarangire River, the only water for miles in the dry season. Game drives and a picnic lunch in the park.

2. Tag 2Into the Serengeti

   Past the Ngorongoro crater rim and down to the Serengeti, home to the Great Migration.

3. Tag 3Serengeti to the Ngorongoro Highlands

   An early game drive, brunch, then the drive into the highlands.

4. Tag 4Ngorongoro Crater

   An early descent of about 600 m to the crater floor — a sealed world of grassland, swamp and soda lake that holds one of the densest gatherings of wildlife in Africa, including the rare black rhino. Picnic lunch by the hippo pool, then the drive back to Arusha or the airport.
