Neun Tage rund um den ganzen Berg – die meiste Zeit zur Akklimatisierung und die besten Chancen auf den Gipfel.
Die vollständigen Reisedetails unten sind auf Englisch. Fragen Sie uns gern auf Deutsch.
The Northern Circuit is the newest and longest route on Kilimanjaro. It starts in the west, shares its first days with Lemosho, then turns north near the Lava Tower and circles the wild, almost empty northern slopes before reaching the summit from the east.
The nine-day climb adds an extra night at Shira 2. It is the most patient way to climb Kilimanjaro, giving you the best acclimatisation and the highest chance of reaching Uhuru Peak.
Route: Moshi – Londorossi Gate – Mti Mkubwa – Shira 1 – Shira 2 – Moir – Buffalo – Third Cave – School Hut – Uhuru Peak – Mweka Gate
We meet you at Kilimanjaro International Airport (or pick you up anywhere in Moshi or Arusha) and drive you to Maridadi Hotel. In the evening your lead guide comes to brief you on the route, check your gear and answer every question.
A drive of about two hours from Moshi to Londorossi Gate (2,100 m) on the west side. After registration, a short first walk through the rainforest, where you may see wildlife, to Mti Mkubwa ("Big Tree") Camp.
A gradual climb out of the rainforest into low alpine moorland, then onto the edge of the Shira Plateau.
An easy day across the Shira Plateau to Shira 2, with an afternoon acclimatisation walk. This extra night is what the nine-day climb adds.
East past the Garden of the Senecios into the high alpine desert, to the quiet Moir Camp below the Northern Ice Fields.
A steep climb out of the Moir Valley, with an optional detour to Little Lent Hill (4,375 m). Then you circle Kibo's quiet northern slopes, with views across the plains towards Kenya.
A shorter, relaxed day. You climb Buffalo Ridge, have lunch near Porfu Camp and walk east to Third Cave.
Up across the Saddle between Kibo and Mawenzi to School Hut. Early dinner and rest — you are woken just before midnight.
You wake around 23:30 and climb in the dark past Hans Meyer Cave to Gilman's Point (5,681 m), then along the rim to Uhuru Peak (5,895 m) at or just after sunrise. You come down via Stella Point (5,739 m) and Barafu Camp to Millennium Camp.
Down through the montane rainforest to Mweka Gate. You sign out and receive your certificate — green for Gilman's Point, gold for Uhuru Peak — then say thank you to your crew and drive back to Moshi.
Breakfast, then a private transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your flight home. Not ready to leave? Add a safari or a few days on Zanzibar — we arrange it all.
Mahlzeiten: B = Frühstück, L = Mittagessen, D = Abendessen.
