A half-day trip from Moshi to Materuni, a Chagga village on the lower slopes of Kilimanjaro. You walk about 45 minutes past small farms to a tall waterfall with a natural pool — swim if you dare — then visit a coffee farm to roast, grind and brew your own cup, with singing and dancing along the way.
The day ends with a traditional Chagga lunch cooked by the villagers.

Pick-up from your Moshi hotel or the airport (about 45 minutes). An introduction to the village, a walk to the waterfall and free time at the pool, the coffee experience with the Chagga people and a traditional lunch, then back to your hotel.
