1. Jour 1Tarangire National Park

   About three hours from Moshi you enter Tarangire, the park of giants: huge herds of elephants and ancient baobab trees along the Tarangire River, the only water for miles in the dry season. Game drives and a picnic lunch in the park.

2. Jour 2Ndutu

   Through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area to Ndutu for a half-day game drive on the calving plains, with a picnic lunch.

   A morning with the herds at Ndutu, then a picnic lunch on the way to the Seronera Valley.

   A half-day game drive in the central Serengeti, then a scenic drive through the highlands.

5. Jour 5Ngorongoro Crater

   An early descent of about 600 m to the crater floor — a sealed world of grassland, swamp and soda lake that holds one of the densest gatherings of wildlife in Africa, including the rare black rhino. Picnic lunch by the hippo pool, then the drive back to Arusha.
