   Below the steep wall of the Great Rift Valley, Lake Manyara mixes groundwater forest, open floodplain and a soda lake. Look for baboons, elephants, hippos, flamingos and the park's famous tree-climbing lions.

3. Jour 3Karatu to the Serengeti

   A scenic drive past the Ngorongoro Crater into the Serengeti for an evening game drive.
