   About 150 km to Tarangire for a game drive among baobabs and some of the biggest elephant herds in Tanzania.

   Across the open plains to the Seronera area, famous for its lion prides.

   The landscape turns to hills as you head north towards Kogatende and the Mara River.

   A full day near the river and the Lobo Valley, waiting for the herds to gather and cross.

   Down onto the crater floor at about 6:30 am for a five-hour game drive, then the drive to Arusha, arriving around 6 pm.
