Overview

Why you will love it

The six-day Marangu climb follows the classic hut route and adds one important thing: a full extra day at Horombo Hut. You walk up to Zebra Rocks and back, then sleep low, so your body adapts before summit night.

You sleep in huts with bunk beds at every camp, share meals in the dining huts with climbers from around the world, and walk a gentle, well-made path. It is a good choice for first-time climbers and for the rainy months.

  • Sleeping huts at every camp
  • Extra acclimatisation day at Horombo
  • Walk to the striped cliffs of Zebra Rocks
  • Gentle slopes — ideal for first-time climbers
  • Group departures every month

Questions about this trip

Why choose 6 days instead of 5?

The extra night at Horombo gives your body time to adjust to the altitude. It is the single best way to raise your chance of reaching Uhuru Peak on the Marangu route.
