Itinerary
On Day 1, you will depart from Arusha, taking a scenic flight to the iconic Serengeti National Park, famous for its annual wildebeest migration. Upon arrival, you’ll be greeted by your experienced driver-guide from Migration Venture Africa, who will lead you on an exhilarating afternoon game drive. As you venture through the park’s vast landscapes, you'll encounter a stunning array of wildlife, from herds of elephants to predatory lions stalking their prey. After the game drive, you’ll enjoy a relaxing evening at Tented Lodge, an exquisite camp that combines comfort with the beauty of the African wilderness. This night under the stars will mark the beginning of your unforgettable safari adventure.
Day 2 is dedicated to exploring the heart of the Serengeti, particularly following the migratory route of the wildebeest and zebra herds. You’ll spend the entire day with your Migration Venture Africa guide, observing the great migration in full swing. Depending on the timing of your visit, you may witness dramatic river crossings or massive herds stretching as far as the eye can see. The Serengeti’s vast open plains and diverse ecosystems provide ample opportunities to spot predators like lions, cheetahs, and leopards. In the evening, after a rewarding day of wildlife viewing, you’ll head to the lodge for a restful night under the African skies, preparing for another thrilling day.
On Day 3, you’ll delve deeper into the Serengeti, focusing more closely on the migration experience. Your Migration Venture Africa guide will navigate you through the best areas for viewing the seasonal migration, where vast herds of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles move across the plains in search of food and water. In the late afternoon, you’ll enjoy a scenic drive through the Serengeti towards Ngorongoro and overnight at Ngorongoro Highland, soaking in the beauty of this wilderness. On Day 4 of your Serengeti Migration Safari, you'll start the morning with breakfast at your lodge in Central Serengeti, enjoying the serene views and perhaps spotting wildlife nearby. After check-out, embark on a scenic game drive en route to Naabi Hill Gate, keeping an eye out for the great migration herds and big cats along the way. After completing park formalities at the gate, you'll exit Serengeti and begin your ascent into the lush Ngorongoro Highlands, where the landscape shifts dramatically to cooler, green, and misty terrain. On Day 5, you’ll explore the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage site home to a rich concentration of wildlife. After breakfast, you will begin your journey to the Ngorongoro Highlands. Once you arrive, you’ll descend into the crater for a full-day game drive. The floor of the crater is teeming with wildlife, including the elusive black rhino, large herds of buffalo, wildebeest, and prides of lions. The fertile ecosystem surrounded by towering crater walls makes it one of the world’s most remarkable wildlife destinations. On Day 6, you’ll head to Lake Manyara National Park, renowned for its stunning landscapes, tree-climbing lions, and abundant birdlife. On the final day of your safari, you’ll journey to Tarangire National Park, famous for its large herds of elephants and iconic baobab trees. This full-day game drive will allow you to explore the park’s diverse habitats, from dense woodlands to expansive grasslands. The abundance of wildlife, including giraffes, zebras, and predators, will keep you captivated throughout the day. As you enjoy the park’s beauty, you’ll also have the chance to spot migratory birds and other remarkable species. In the late afternoon, you’ll be transferred back to Arusha, arriving in the evening.
